Good Shepherd School

Welcome to the official web site of Good Shepherd Episcopal School.  We are located in the heart of Kingwood, Texas, a majestic master planned community located in a natural forest setting within the Northeast city limits of the city of Houston. 

Founded in 1984, Good Shepherd School began with 2 classes and 22 children. Today, we have over 15 classes and maintain a regular student roster of over 250 students.

In 2007, we achieved the highest honor of  being an accredited education facility in early childhood development and have passed rigorous standards set by the National Association of Episcopal Schools, Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Good Shepherd School provides a regular school year of classes from preschool to Kindergarten. We also offer a Transitional Kindergarten class, designed for students who might benefit from enhanced coursework in preparation for entry to elementary school.  We also enhance our curriculum with our Mother's Day Out program, which offers creative play, learning and social activities as early as age one through early elementary school age.

 

Our Mission Statement

The school shall be an integral part of the ministry of Good Shepherd Church. As such, it shall provide an early childhood education designed so that each child will grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially in a Christian environment.
